Semaglutide's impact on kidney health across the SELECT, FLOW, and SOUL trials

Abstract

Semaglutide is associated with a reduction in clinically important kidney outcomes in individuals with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.

  • Pooled analyses of data from the SELECT, FLOW, and SOUL trials were conducted to evaluate the effects of semaglutide.
  • The analysis included diverse populations to enhance the generalizability of the findings.
  • Semaglutide may provide benefits for kidney health specifically in patients suffering from type 2 diabetes and CKD.
