Abstract
Subcutaneous GLP-1 receptor agonists (scGLP-1RA) may be more effective than SGLT2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) in managing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
- The study compares the effectiveness of two treatment options for MASLD in individuals with T2DM.
- Genetic variants in GLP1R and PNPLA3 may influence how patients respond to the treatments.
- The management of MASLD is complicated by its frequent coexistence with T2DM.
