Survodutide's effectiveness and safety for treating obesity: a review of clinical trial results

Survodutide was associated with a 1.5 standardized mean difference in relative body weight reduction compared to placebo.

  • Survodutide significantly reduced relative body weight in treated individuals.
  • No significant difference in overall adverse events was observed between the survodutide and placebo groups.
  • Survodutide was linked to a higher risk of diarrhea compared to the placebo group.
  • The treatment also reduced absolute body weight and hemoglobin A1c levels.
