Personalized Follow-Ups Versus a One-Day Group Program for Patients with Long COVID: Plan for a Randomized Trial

Updated

Abstract

A total of 62 outpatients aged 18-65 years with long COVID are being randomized to compare rehabilitation programs.

  • Long COVID is associated with disability, reduced health-related quality of life, and socioeconomic costs.
  • Tailored individual follow-ups may improve health-related quality of life compared to a 1-day group course.
  • Primary outcomes will be measured using the EQ-5D-5L index at 6 months.
  • Secondary outcomes will assess improvements in symptoms, work participation, and neurocognitive function at various intervals.
  • Feasibility and use of a mobile app for self-monitoring goal achievement will also be evaluated.
