Use of Tirzepatide and Semaglutide for Prediabetes and Heart-Related Health in Rural Primary Care

Updated

Abstract

Treatment with tirzepatide or semaglutide was associated with significant improvements in A1c, BMI, blood pressure, LDL, and triglycerides among 40 adults.

  • All participants achieved normoglycemic A1c levels after treatment.
  • Improvements in glycemic control and cardiometabolic risk factors were observed over a 3-24 month period.
  • No significant changes were noted in HDL levels.
  • Findings should be interpreted cautiously due to the observational nature of the study.
