Gene control, aging signs, and sex differences in cells from 28 human organs and tissues

Updated

Abstract

Tabula Sapiens 2.0 includes data from nine new donors and doubles the number of cells from the original dataset.

  • The updated atlas incorporates data from four new tissues.
  • Genetic background, age, and epigenetic effects are controlled for in the new data set.
  • Analysis provides insights into the expression of transcription factors related to nearly every human cell type.
  • Molecular phenotypes of senescent cells reveal both universal and organ-specific attributes of senescence.
  • Sex-specific gene expression profiles were identified across various cell types.
