Updated

Abstract

WBIs could significantly improve fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus.

  • Improvements in fasting blood glucose were associated with a standardized mean difference of -1.764.
  • 2-hour postprandial blood glucose showed a significant reduction with a standardized mean difference of -1.433.
  • No significant effects were observed on glycated hemoglobin or 1-hour postprandial blood glucose.
  • Mobile app-delivered interventions with personalized and interactive features appeared to be more effective for glycemic control.
  • Compliance with self-monitoring of blood glucose and rates of normal vaginal delivery were significantly enhanced.
  • Participants in the WBI group reported improved GDM knowledge, risk perception, self-efficacy, and satisfaction with care.
