Well-being in people with long COVID compared to short COVID in Victoria, Australia

Updated

Abstract

Essence

People reporting long COVID had lower well-being than those with short COVID, including before infection.

Evidence

Serial cross-sectional analysis of 217 Optimise Study participants in Victoria, Australia compared self-reported long COVID and short COVID across well-being, symptoms, exercise, and emotions.

Caveat

The lower pre-infection well-being suggests baseline group differences, and ongoing changes were not detected by personal well-being scales.
