Fast brain stimulation of the left thinking area for suicidal thoughts in people with depression: A case series

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Accelerated left DLPFC TMS was followed by rapid reductions in suicidality and depressive symptoms in six patients with depression.

Evidence

This chart-review case series treated six suicidal depression patients from June 2024 to March 2025 with accelerated iTBS over 6.17 ± 1.86 days and measured CSSRS and HDRS changes.

Caveat

The evidence is preliminary because it was an uncontrolled six-patient case series with no randomized comparator or durability assessment.
