Use and safety of modern antidepressants in people with liver disease

Abstract

Safety of SSRIs and related medications was analyzed in patients with depression and liver disease.

The study evaluated various medications including venlafaxine, milnacipran, mirtazapine, nefazodone, and trazodone.
Patients had a diagnosis of depression alongside liver disease.
Findings related to the safety of these medications in this patient population were assessed.
