Abstract
Exo@Bac treatment significantly improved memory deficits and elevated brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression compared to controls.
- The encapsulation of Baicalein in exosomes enhanced its therapeutic efficacy in a rat model of Alzheimer's disease.
- Cognitive performance was assessed using the passive avoidance test and Morris water maze.
- Histopathological analyses showed reduced neuronal damage and apoptosis in rats treated with Exo@Bac.
- Treatment with Exo@Bac resulted in decreased amyloid-β deposition.
- Exo@Bac enhanced antioxidant defense by increasing superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels and lowering lipid peroxidation.
- Modulation of oxidative stress and neuroinflammatory pathways was indicated by the promotion of AMPK phosphorylation and suppression of NF-κB p65 signaling.
