Base Editing May Improve CAR T-cell Therapy

Base-edited CAR7 T cells produced early complete morphologic remissions in a small group of patients with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

This brief clinical report describes 11 patients who received BE-CAR7 T cells, with complete morphologic remission at 28 days, 82% proceeding to stem-cell transplantation, and 64% remaining in remission after 3 to 36 months.
