Bile acid injection increased fasting plasma insulin levels and decreased postprandial blood glucose in a rat model of Type 2 Diabetes.
- Treatment with bile acids did not affect fasting blood glucose, fasting body mass, triglycerides, cholesterol, or total bile acid levels.
- Bile acid administration activated the TGR5/GLP-1 signaling pathway.
- The FXR/FGF15 signaling pathway was not influenced by bile acid treatment.
