Modified Gegen Qinlian Decoction significantly reduced blood glucose levels in T2DM mice over a 12-week treatment period.

  • Improvement in oral glucose tolerance and blood lipid levels was observed in the treated mice.
  • The modified GQD alleviated damage to the ileum and pancreas associated with T2DM.
  • Regulation of intestinal flora and enhancement of bile acid metabolism were noted as key effects.
  • Activation of the TGR5/cAMP/PKA/CREB signaling pathway was associated with increased GLP-1 secretion.
