Responses to immunotherapy in mice peak at the end of the resting phase (evening).

  • Circadian rhythms influence T-cell movement through blood vessel linings.
  • The time of day affects the expression of PD-L1 on myeloid immune cells.
  • Tumor immunity, including dendritic cell activity, displays circadian patterns.
  • Similar circadian effects are observed in patients undergoing cancer immunotherapy.
  • Time-of-day may be an important factor in the effectiveness of cancer treatments.
