Updated

Abstract

A total of 43 young people were allocated to receive the i-Minds digital intervention for technology-assisted sexual abuse.

  • Recruitment and retention of participants to the trial were successful.
  • The i-Minds app was found to be safe and acceptable for its intended users.
  • Quantitative and qualitative data suggested promising improvements in post-traumatic symptoms, resilience, internalising symptoms, and reflective functioning after using the app.
  • Most participants engaged with the app's modules and reported a positive experience, enhancing their understanding of mental health.
  • Practitioners noted challenges in integrating the app into routine care, including concerns about workload and involvement in the design process.
