Updated

Abstract

Nineteen prediction models for disability risk in community-dwelling older adults showed an area under the curve () ranging from 0.620 to 0.853 during model development.

  • Eighteen of the models were rated with high quality concerns in the development section.
  • Sixteen models exhibited a high risk of bias in the evaluation section.
  • Fifteen models raised high concerns regarding their applicability.
  • The most common predictors for disability risk included age, physical function, cognitive function, cardiovascular disease, and sex.
  • Model discrimination performance varied, with AUC values from 0.650 to 0.804 noted in the validation section.
