  • Activation of the farnesoid X receptor (FXR) and takeda G protein-coupled receptor 5 (TGR5) pathways is associated with changes in glycolipid metabolism.
  • The glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) signaling pathway may be involved in the effects of electroacupuncture on obesity.
  • The fibroblast growth factor 15 (FGF15) pathway could also play a role in mediating the impact of electroacupuncture on weight regulation.
  • The findings are based on observations in obese mice induced by a high-fat diet.
