Among 686 children reviewed, 21% exhibited functional impairment following COVID-19 infection.

  • Children with long COVID had 3.5 times higher odds of experiencing school decline compared to those without long COVID.
  • Increased school support was found in children with long COVID, with 2.4 times higher odds than those without.
  • New or worsening behavioral or mental health symptoms were 4.6 times more likely in children with long COVID.
