Abstract
A significant increase in glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) prescribing for children ages 8-11 is anticipated.
- Trends in GLP-1RA prescribing for pediatric obesity have not been documented previously.
- The increase in prescribing may be particularly notable for children with more severe obesity.
- Children with greater comorbidity burden could show a larger rise in GLP-1RA usage.
- Less socioeconomic vulnerability may be associated with increased GLP-1RA prescribing.
