Abstract
Cardiovascular, kidney, and liver outcomes were compared between Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) and seven other antidiabetic medications in Chinese patients with Type 2 diabetes.
- GLP-1 RAs may have distinct effects on cardiovascular health compared to other antidiabetic medications.
- Kidney outcomes could differ when using GLP-1 RAs versus other available treatments.
- Liver-related health consequences are also a consideration when evaluating GLP-1 RAs in this patient population.
