Abstract
The association between glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) and new-onset atrial fibrillation (AF) in adults with diabetes or obesity is unclear.
- GLP-1RAs are known to improve cardiometabolic outcomes in type 2 diabetes and obesity.
- The potential link between GLP-1RA use and the risk of developing new-onset atrial fibrillation is still uncertain.
- Understanding this association could help clarify the safety profile of GLP-1RAs in these populations.
