Current studies suggest a potential association between glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) and atrial fibrillation (AF) recurrence after catheter ablation.

  • The use of GLP-1RAs may be linked to an increased risk of AF recurrence following catheter ablation.
  • Findings regarding this association are currently controversial.
  • The meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the relationship between GLP-1RAs and AF recurrence.
  • Evidence gathered could inform clinical prevention and treatment strategies.
