A statistically significant difference in search popularity for GLP-1 agonists was found, with Ozempic leading both nationally in Iraq and globally.

  • Search volume for GLP-1 agonists was measured using relative search volume (RSV) from Google Trends.
  • Ozempic had the highest RSV in Iraq, particularly in Duhok, followed by Sulaymaniyah and Erbil.
  • Saxenda showed a similar RSV profile in Iraq, while Wegovy attracted notable interest in Ninawa.
  • Globally, Ozempic's highest RSV was recorded in Canada, the USA, and Australia.
  • Saxenda's search interest peaked in Latin America, Poland, Sweden, and Australia.
  • Mounjaro received significant search interest in Greenland and the USA, with additional interest in Canada and Australia.
