Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RA) may be linked to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) incidence.
- The association between GLP-1 RA initiation and the risk of developing HCC compared to other glucose-lowering medications is unclear.
- Evidence regarding GLP-1 RA and mortality risk after HCC diagnosis is also mixed.
- Further investigation is needed to clarify these associations.
