Abstract
In a cohort of 356 participants with postacute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), six distinct inflammatory clusters were identified.
- Three of the identified clusters showed elevated biomarkers associated with tissue damage and repair, coagulation, axonal injury, and antiviral immune responses.
- These highly inflamed clusters were linked to reported cardiovascular and respiratory symptoms.
- The findings suggest that different host immune responses may be related to varying clinical phenotypes of PASC.
- Understanding these inflammatory patterns could provide insights into the underlying mechanisms of PASC.
