The detection limits for EV PD-L1 protein and miR-1246 were 5.44 × 10 particles/mL and 3.59 × 10 particles/mL, respectively.

  • An electroporation-lysis electrochemical platform was developed to analyze proteins and miRNAs in extracellular vesicles.
  • This platform utilizes an electric field to quickly release internal molecules from EVs, activating a CRISPR/Cas12a system.
  • The system generates electrochemical signals by cleaving probes, allowing for the simultaneous detection of two biomarkers.
  • Machine learning analysis of the biomarkers achieved a diagnostic accuracy of 98.3% for distinguishing healthy donors from early-stage gastric cancer patients.
  • The platform also demonstrated 99% accuracy in differentiating early-stage from advanced-stage gastric cancer patients.
