Genetic variations linked to obesity in Saudi individuals

• Increased leptin levels were observed in both males and females carrying the FTO TT genotype.
• The GNB3 TT genotype was linked to a higher likelihood of obesity and also associated with elevated leptin levels.
• No significant association was found between the MC4R A822G SNP and obesity among the studied subjects.
• The presence of the homozygous AA genotype for MC4R was noted, but its impact on obesity could not be detected.
