Quality of Mobile Apps for Identifying Pressure Sores in Adults

Updated

Abstract

A total of 2075 studies were identified, with six included for qualitative analysis regarding mobile apps for pressure ulcers.

  • All included studies focused on the early stages of app development or enhancement.
  • The current evidence indicates that mobile apps for pressure ulcers require further evaluation of various software quality characteristics.
  • The prescription of these apps for pressure ulcer management in adults remains limited at this stage.
  • Future app development should involve users in collaborative processes and consider diverse patient demographics.
  • Clear and objective descriptions of the app development methodology are necessary for reproducibility and future research guidance.
