Mobile Phone Apps for Measuring Quality of Life and Well-Being in Breast and Prostate Cancer Patients

A systematic review identified 5 studies involving mobile health apps for breast and prostate cancer patients assessing quality of life.

  • Out of 3862 articles, only 5 studies met the inclusion criteria for this review.
  • The studies included a total of 644 patients, with a mean age of 52.16 years.
  • Four studies focused on breast cancer patients, while one targeted prostate cancer patients.
  • Four of the studies referred to apps that assessed quality of life.
  • Only one app analyzed in the review was available from the official app store.
  • Two of the three studies that implemented app-related interventions reported improvements in quality of life.
