Abstract

Median nocturnal urinary aMT6s was 17.4 ng/mg creatinine in patients with prediabetes.

  • Higher nocturnal urinary aMT6s is significantly associated with lower fasting insulin levels and lower insulin response during an oral glucose tolerance test.
  • Nocturnal urinary aMT6s correlates inversely with fasting insulin resistance as indicated by lower HOMA-IR and higher Matsuda insulin sensitivity index.
  • Sleep duration is inversely correlated with HbA1c levels, while other sleep factors showed no significant correlation with glucose metabolism markers.
  • Adjusting for body mass index, higher nocturnal urinary aMT6s remains significantly linked to reduced fasting insulin levels and insulin resistance.
