Essence

Nutrient-stimulated hormone therapies such as GLP-1 receptor agonists may help prevent -related liver cancer mainly by improving metabolic and inflammatory drivers.

Evidence

This review synthesizes clinical, observational, bariatric-surgery, and preclinical evidence on MASLD/MASH, fibrosis, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma outcomes linked to nutrient-stimulated hormone-based therapies.

Caveat

The cancer-prevention claim remains indirect because human oncologic endpoints and immunometabolic mechanisms have not yet been clarified.
