Improving precise gene editing in zebrafish

Updated

Abstract

Efficient editing was achieved at four of five sites with rates reaching 15.34% using the PEmax variant.

  • Five prime editor variants were evaluated for their efficiency in zebrafish.
  • PEmax demonstrated the highest efficiency for introducing precise genetic edits.
  • Strategies to block degradation of pegRNAs did not enhance performance.
  • The findings support the use of PEmax for creating disease models through missense mutations.
