How Taking Oral Semaglutide as Prescribed Affects Blood Sugar Control in People with Type 2 Diabetes on Metformin

Updated

Abstract

Twenty participants with type 2 diabetes will be monitored over 12 weeks for adherence to oral semaglutide dosing instructions.

  • Adherence to dosing instructions for oral semaglutide may impact glycemic control in individuals with type 2 diabetes who are not well-regulated on existing treatments.
  • Participants will use various devices to track their dosing behavior, activity, sleep, and water intake.
  • Continuous glucose monitoring will assess changes in blood sugar levels over the study period.
  • Behavioral changes may occur due to participants being aware of the monitoring.
  • The study aims to gather data that could inform future decision support systems to enhance treatment adherence.
