- The neurophysiological effects of psilocybin may include changes in brain activity patterns.
- Alpha power reductions suggest decreased neural synchronization during the acute phase.
- Increased entropy may indicate a rise in the complexity of brain activity.
- The time-course of these neurophysiological changes from administration through the 24-hour sub-acute phase is not well understood.
