Abstract
The Turkish Reduced Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (rMEQ) demonstrated a one-dimensional structure with good fit indices in a study of 875 university students.
- Confirmatory factor analysis showed the rMEQ had a good fit (χ2/df = 2.94, CFI = 0.990, TLI = 0.979, RMSEA = 0.047, SRMR = 0.019).
- A strong correlation was observed between rMEQ and the original Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ).
- Significantly weak correlations were found between rMEQ and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Barratt Impulsiveness Scale Short Form (BIS-SF), and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire Short Form (OHQ-SF).
- The internal consistency of the rMEQ was supported by Cronbach's α = 0.706 and McDonald's ω = 0.740.
- Sensitivity for morning types was between 83.3% and 92.7%, while sensitivity for evening types was between 86.3% and 87.3%.
