Abstract
The aim of this trial is to assess the feasibility of a 36-week treatment period with a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist in adolescents with antipsychotic-associated obesity.
- Adolescents treated with antipsychotic medication are at increased risk for obesity and metabolic complications.
- Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists have shown effectiveness in treating obesity in both adults and adolescents.
- The study will evaluate treatment completion from baseline to the end of a 36-week period.
- Results could inform the design of a larger randomized controlled trial.
