Semaglutide treatment improved cognitive capabilities in APP/PS1 mice, particularly in learning and memory.
- Behavioral analyses indicated enhanced cognitive functions in mice treated with Semaglutide.
- Treatment was associated with reduced amyloid plaque deposition in mouse brain tissues.
- Semaglutide down-regulated glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule 1 (Iba1) expression.
- Increased levels of oxytocin (OXT) were observed following Semaglutide treatment.
- Human Alzheimer's disease organoid models showed reduced amyloid-beta and phosphorylated Tau levels after treatment.
