Experiences of Using Semaglutide for Weight Loss in a Rural Area of Denmark

Updated

Abstract

Essence

People using semaglutide for weight loss in rural Denmark described benefits alongside stigma, cost, and uncertainty about durability and side effects.

Evidence

This qualitative study used semi-structured interviews with nine adults aged 33-65 from one rural Danish municipality who had used semaglutide for weight loss for at least two months.

Caveat

The sample was small, locally recruited, and experience-focused, so it cannot estimate how common these views are in broader or more diverse settings.
