Rapid test for detecting respiratory syncytial virus and rhinovirus infections together using a combined CRISPR system

Updated

Abstract

Essence

A single-tube -CRISPR Cas12a/Cas13a assay detected RSV and rhinovirus targets rapidly and sensitively.

Evidence

This diagnostic platform experiment optimized dual-gene detection within 30 minutes and validated performance on 543 respiratory infection samples with 10 copies/uL for each virus.

Caveat

The abstract reports high accuracy and but does not provide comparator methods, exact performance statistics, or coinfection subgroup results.
