Abstract

Synbiotic intervention significantly reduced serum insulin levels by 6.39 μU/mL among 1049 participants.

  • Reductions in triglycerides by 20.3 mg/dl and total cholesterol by 7.8 mg/dl were observed.
  • Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol decreased by 9.02 mg/dl.
  • Waist circumference and body weight were reduced by 4.04 cm and 4.3 kg, respectively.
  • Systolic blood pressure decreased by 1.8 mmHg.
  • High-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels increased by 2.3 mg/dl.
  • No significant effects were found on fasting plasma glucose or other metabolic indices.
