Abstract

The comparative effectiveness of dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide/GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy versus GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy alone is unclear.

  • Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) may improve respiratory outcomes.
  • The role of glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide in conjunction with GLP-1 RAs has not been fully established.
  • More research is needed to determine the benefits of combining these therapies compared to using GLP-1 RAs alone.
