Using different transfer RNAs and AI to improve small, efficient genome editing in plants

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Endogenous tRNA designs and AI-guided mining may make plant multiplex CRISPR editing more compact and efficient.

Evidence

This plant genome-engineering platform study screened tRNAs in Arabidopsis thaliana and Oryza sativa, built a system editing at least ten genomic loci in rice and soybean, and trained plant tRNA language models to find missed tRNAs.

Caveat

The abstract reports platform performance and resource discovery, not downstream germplasm outcomes or validation beyond the tested plant systems.
