Abstract
Subjects with grade 3 and 4 obesity experienced a mean weight loss of 14.99 kg after 8 months of treatment with liraglutide 3 mg.
- Significant reductions in weight, BMI, and abdominal circumference were observed (p < 0.001).
- Participants lost an average of 13.04% of their initial weight after 8 months.
- Improvements in body composition included a significant decrease in fat percentage and fat mass (kg) (p < 0.001).
- The healthy visceral fat index increased to 67.17% (p < 0.001) at the end of the treatment.
- Blood pressure showed a significant reduction (p < 0.001), along with improvements in biochemical variables.
- A significant increase in 25-OH vitamin D levels was noted at the conclusion of the intervention (p < 0.001).
