Updated
Abstract
Mean percentage weight reduction at 1 year was 8.7% among 7,881 patients receiving .
- Patients with early discontinuation of treatment experienced a mean weight reduction of 3.6%.
- Patients who discontinued late had a mean weight reduction of 6.8%.
- Those who did not discontinue treatment showed a mean weight reduction of 11.9%.
- The mean reduction in glycated hemoglobin was 0.1% for early discontinuation, 0.2% for late discontinuation, and 0.4% for non-discontinuation.
- Higher rates of treatment discontinuation and lower maintenance dosages may explain the lower average weight reduction compared to phase 3 trials.
