Broader Benefits of a Digital Weight Program Using Tirzepatide Beyond Weight Loss

Abstract

At 12 months, participants achieved a mean weight loss of 22.7%.

  • Participants had a starting average body mass index (BMI) of 37.1 kg/m².
  • Significant reductions were observed in waist and hip circumference, as well as waist-to-hip ratio.
  • Binge Eating Scale scores decreased by 18 points, indicating reduced binge eating behavior.
  • Patient Health Questionnaire-9 scores fell by 3.06 points, suggesting improved mental health.
  • Systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased by 9.07 mmHg and 4.90 mmHg, respectively.
  • Five participants with prediabetes normalized their blood sugar levels by the end of the program.
