Aging clocks built from routine clinical indicators are mostly not yet trustworthy enough for broad application.

Evidence

This systematic review critically appraised 59 adult studies covering 81 aging clocks from six databases through June 18, 2024 using PROBAST+AI.

Caveat

Most clocks had high quality concerns or bias risk, and 31 of 81 had neither internal nor external validation.
