BMI increased by 0.27 for each additional hour of morning latency.

  • Each additional hour of the first eating event is associated with a BMI increase of 0.17.
  • The timing of the eating midpoint is linked to a BMI increase of 0.21.
  • Positive associations between BMI and morning latency, first eating event timing, and eating midpoint were observed in early chronotypes.
  • No significant associations were found for intermediate and late chronotypes.
  • Delaying eating times and extending morning latency may contribute to higher BMI.
