Abstract
Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists and sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors may provide cardiovascular and metabolic benefits.
- The effects of combining GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors in patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus are not fully understood.
- Both GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors have shown individual benefits for cardiovascular health and metabolic function.
- Further research is needed to clarify the comparative effectiveness of combination therapy versus monotherapy for this patient population.
