Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) may lead to weight loss and reduced severity of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

  • Tirzepatide has received regulatory approval for the treatment of OSA in patients with obesity.
  • GLP-1RAs and dual GIP/GLP-1 agonists are associated with beneficial effects on weight management.
  • The integration of these treatments into sleep medicine is increasing.
  • Current real-world clinical practices regarding these treatments for OSA are not well defined.
